News - updated January
Now with a nice clean bottom!
News - December
Well, winter is here and the boat in undergoing routine annual maintenance. As well as all the things we need to do, such as anti-fouling and engine servicing (and other boring stuff!), we're also spending some of our hardearned money on new 'toys' for the wheelhouse. Two new Raymarine flatscreen chartplotters complete with transducers are being fitted, which together with new roof-mounted aerials should help improve accuracy at divesites.
Bookings for 2012 are already at an increased level compared with this time last year. We are really looking forward it :-)
News - November
The summer season over and the dark evenings are here! We've had a fantastic season, working all the way through June, July & August with fine weather and light winds. We've been blessed with cloudless sunshine on quite a few occasions!
Headline trips included a 5 day trip into Salcombe to dive the Riversdale, Skaala, Newholm and Medina. All the divers really enjoyed diving these deeper wrecks and we're already planning on returning for a 4 day trip next August Bank Holiday (now sold out!). We've had some great clubs and groups aboard, and our 'Individuals & Small Groups' trips seem as popular as ever. Showing that groups with less than a whole boat charter are still sea diving and finding ways around the problems. We're doing our best by providing a quality service at a cost effective price. I personally believe we're unique in what we provide to divers in Plymouth.
We're looking forward to another busy winter season, also proving that divers don't stop diving! Our Winter Specials were popular last year and appear to be even more popular this year, as almost all have already been booked by returning individuals and clubs. Please contact me if you need help or advice about these trips.
The Birmingham DiveShow at the NEC a few weekends ago was also a success for us. With our stand in the 'British Isles Zone', many divers we'd seen through the season came and chatted, with their stories of this year and ideas for future years. We've taken onboard a couple of those ideas and rolled them out into next years programme, to include a couple more deeper individuals trips in the 45-60m normoxic trimix range. We're also going to be located at Salcombe a couple more weekends next year, as although the gas supply is an issue (non-existant more like!), it does provide a shorter transfer to the wreck site. As always, we're open to suggestions for trips! But no, not the 'Ece'!!!
See you soon! And the photos below are to remind us that we did have a summer this year, and we hope to have another, next year!
